The Lady Across The Street

About 3 months ago, I met the 92-year old lady across the street. She called me over and we talked for an hour or so. She lives alone. I asked where her family is, and she said they live "down below", which in the Los Angeles area means 1 and 3/4 - 2 hours away.
Anyway, she called me over the other day and asked me to take her to the store. She said there were items on sale at Superior. I agreed.
When I picked her up at 3:00 the next day, it took a good 15 minutes to get her in the car, store the walker, and secure her seat belt. We headed to Superior. On the way there, she said she wanted to visit another grocery store as well. I'm thinking: you clever little devil.
We spent 20 minutes on the tomatoes, 10 minutes on the pineapples, 35 minutes on the oranges, and 15 minutes on watermelons. Oh, yes......and 25 minutes talking to the store security, and another 15 minutes to get her back into the car and onto another store, where the time frame was virtually the same. I swear. I was so exhausted when I came home, my power nap lasted 5 hours.
